Chevron Canada Resources (“Chevron”) is seeking qualified companies (“Contractor”) interested in submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the provision of Marine 3D Seismic Acquisition offshore Nova Scotia on the Mahone Block – Exploration License 2359.

The planning of this program is ongoing and is subject to regulatory and Chevron approval. The program may or may not be conducted and all proposed times and dates are subject to change. Chevron intends to evaluate synergies with other operators whose programs may provide benefits to both operators.

Chevron may change or cancel this Expression of Interest at any time. All expenses incurred by the Contractor relating to this request for EOI shall be at the Contractor’s expense.

The successful Contractor may be required to support other Chevron Canada Resources Marine 3D Seismic Acquisition in Atlantic Canada, as required.

General Requirements
The Contractor must be qualified to conduct the work outlined in the Scope of Work and must be able to demonstrate previous experience in the delivery of such services.

The contract term is expected to be June 1, 2004 – September 30, 2004. The Marine 3D Seismic Acquisition program is expected to commence and to be completed no later than September 30, 2004. The program may consist of up to 1,000 square kilometers of acquisition and processing of 3D Marine seismic survey and navigation data. There is no guaranteed minimum acquisition area or length of contract. Nothing herein obligates Chevron to award any contracts or to proceed with any program.

Scope of Work
The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to:

Acquisition of 3D seismic data on the Mahone Block with anticipated technical requirements as follows:
· 6 streamers at 100 meters separation (25 m bins)
· Source will be dual (flip-flop) airguns
· Each streamer will have at least 360 traces at 12.5 meters spacing, for a minimum of 4500 meters in length

Vessel must have a heli-deck rated for Super-puma class helicopter.

Canada Nova Scotia Benefits
Interested parties will, at a minimum, be expected to comply with the provisions of the applicable Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (“C-NSOPB”) Industrial Benefits and Employment Plan Guidelines in all aspects of the program.

Health, Environment & Safety Requirements
Chevron is committed to providing a safe, healthy workplace for its employees and those of its contractors and subcontractors. Interested Contractors must have health, environmental and safety management and quality management systems which meet, at a minimum all requirements of Chevron, the C-NSOPB and all other appropriate regulatory processes. In addition, interested Contractors are required to complete the Chevron Canada Resources Pre-Qualifications Form (PQF) document that is to be submitted with their “Expression of Interest”.

2. Contact information (fax, telephone and email) for Company representative
3. Personnel List and qualifications
4. Equipment Listing and availability dates for 2004

The responses to this EOI must not include brochures, financial reports, safety handbooks or similar documentation. Responses must be limited to one to three pages, in addition to the PQF and requested attachments and be submitted via e-mail (MS Word) or facsimile format.

Submission of the EOI must be completed by 16:00 hours Atlantic Standard Time February 3, 2004.
