Canadian Superior Energy Inc. (Canadian Superior) is preparing for the drilling of its first exploration well on the Scotian Shelf , off the coast of Nova Scotia Canada. The drilling location is in the Marquis Blocks, approximately 250 kilometers
southeast of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The well will be drilled from a cantilever jack-up drilling unit in approximately 55 meters of water. The drilling program is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2002.
Canadian Superior seeks qualified companies for the provision of Stripping/Snubbing Equipment for its upcoming drilling program offshore Nova Scotia. The service shall include the provision of the 50,000 daN stripping/snubbing equipment and experienced
personnel qualified to operate the equipment. Canadian Superior Energy Inc. may require the company to provide as well suitable BOP equipment for drilling. The qualified company will be required to have shop facilities in the Metro-Halifax area
The Stripping/Snubbing equipment shall have a 279mm bore and be capable of handling tubulars up to 178mm diameter. The equipment shall be rated for sour service. The Stripping/Snubbing equipment shall be designed for offshore work in the North Atlantic
and as a minimum, meet the requirements of the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board.
Interested parties must have health, safety, and environmental management and quality management systems which meet all requirements of Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (CNSOPB) and other appropriate regulatory requirements. Respondents must
indicate company name, contact details, managers and key personnel, company profile, and summary of related experience. Canadian Superior will select qualified bidders from among the respondents to this EOI. Expressions of Interest must be received on
