Canadian Superior Energy Inc. (Canadian Superior) is preparing for the drilling of exploration wells off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. The next drilling location is in the Mariner Block, approximately 300 kilometers southeast of Halifax, Nova Scotia,
Canada and is to be drilled from a cantilever jack-up drilling unit. The drilling program will commence in quarter two of 2003 and consist of one or more wells beginning with Mariner; a high pressure, high temperature (HPHT) well.
Canadian Superior seeks qualified Companies for the provision of Open and Cased Hole Logging Equipment and Services for its upcoming drilling program. Offshore services shall include pre-job preparation/quality checks, deployment of tools and data
acquisition, processing and transmission. Personnel shall be suitably qualified and local warehouse and shop facilities are required. Equipment shall comprise a full suite of open hole logging tools including acquisition of downhole pressures, fluid
samples and cores. A full suite of cased hole tools shall be available including cement evaluation tools, wireline perforating tools and mechanical services (free point and back-off, bridge plug setting etc.). All necessary surface equipment including
data acquisition unit complete with necessary hardware/software to transmit data onshore in real time shall be provided. Tools shall be designed for use in hole sizes ranging from 444mm to 149mm and will be exposed to HPHT conditions (> 149 degrees
Celsius and >69 MPa) in the lower hole sections.
Interested parties must have health, safety, and environmental management and quality management systems which, as a minimum, meet all related requirements of the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (CNSOPB) and other appropriate regulatory
requirements. Respondents must indicate company name, contact details, managers and key personnel, company profile, and summary of related experience. Canadian Superior will select qualified bidders from among the respondents to this EOI. Expressions
of Interest must be received on or before December 9, 2002.
