PanCanadian Energy Corporation (PEC) seeks qualified companies for the
provision of work string for use in its upcoming deepwater drilling
program, offshore Nova Scotia. This shall include the provision,
inspection and delivery of the materials.
Requirements include: 1900m of deepwater work string, 5 ½" pipe body rated to minimum 1,000,000 lbs. tensile strength (premium), internally coated, with minimum drift of 2.75". Tool joints to be hardbanded (Arnco 200XT, Armacor M or similar). Connection
preference is HT-55 High-Torque, but alternative proposed connections will be considered.
Pipe to be inspected to DS-1, Level 5 at vendor cost immediately prior to
useage by PanCanadian.
Earliest required date for useage would be July 1, 2002, but actual date to be confirmed based on date of acceptance of drilling rig by PanCanadian.
Additional quotes required for:
1) 1500m of 5", S135, 19.5 lb/ft (or heavier) drill pipe, internally
plastic coated, hardbanded (Arnco 200XT, or Armacor M or similar), 2.75"
minimum drift ID, NC50 connections.
2) 1500m of 3 ½", G-105 or S135, 13.390 or 15.50 lb/ft, drill pipe, NC50 connections (or similar). Contractor to specify hardbanding on quoted
pipe.
Interested parties must have health, safety and environmental management
and quality management systems which meet all requirements of the
Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (CNSOPB). Respondents must
indicate company name, contact details, managers and key personnel, company profile and summary of related experience and presence in Nova Scotia. All inquiries about this EOI or responses to this EOI must indicate the reference number and are to be
