EnCana Corporation is proposing to develop its Deep Panuke gas prospect located offshore Nova Scotia, approximately 44 km to the West of Sable Island. The proposed development plan comprises three new platforms - a production platform (DPP), a utilities
and quarters platform (UQP) and a wellhead platform (WHP) - with two interconnecting bridges linking them to each other. Up to 6 wells will provide production from the Deep Panuke development. Gas will be delivered to shore via one new export pipeline,
of 24" NPS after processing offshore. The onshore landfall site for the export line will be in the Goldboro region.
EnCana Corporation has appointed Accent-Saipem Energy Joint Venture to provide the Engineering Design study for this project.
During this phase we are seeking qualified companies for the following scope of supply: JACKET FABRICATION.
SCOPE OF WORK The four-legged jacket will be situated in a water Depth of 37m LAT (Lowest Astronomical Tide), being supported on the sea bed by 4 nos. 7.0 ft. dia. skirt piles. The jacket is prismatic with 20m x 20m between the centre lines in plan form
and has a height of 60m, approximately. It is anticipated that the jacket will be built vertically for a vertical Loadout/ sea transportation for simpler offshore Installation. The lift points of the jacket will be located at the top level of the jacket
for a vertical lift with 4 nos. slings and a single crane hook. The jacket is fabricated from round tubular members welded together to form a tower type structure. The wellhead jacket has 4 plan brace levels from which the 10 No 24" dia conductors and 2
No 18" dia J-tubes/risers will supported. The dia./thickness range for the jacket leg members are 2335/90 and 1250/30 millimetres. The dia./thickness range for the brace members are 1500/75 and 610/15 millimetres. The estimated weight for the jacket
structure is approximately 1450 tonnes.
SCHEDULE OF DELIVERY Bidding is planned for 3rd and 4th quarters of 2002, it is anticipated the construction will commence during 1st quarter 2003 with completion being 1st quarter 2004.
