EnCana Corporation (EnCana) intends to drill one (1) or two (2) deepwater
well(s) in 2003 in approximately 950 meters water depth on its Flemish Pass properties off the coast of Newfoundland in Exploration Block EL1052 using the semi-submersible drilling rig Eirik Raude. Block 1052 is located approximately 475 km east of St.
John's. The rig will be supported by the vessels Maersk Challenger and Maersk Chancellor. The well could be spudded early- to mid-June 2003.
EnCana seeks qualified companies for the provision of helicopter services
from St. John's airport including the following:
- one (1) helicopter capable of carrying 8 to 16 passengers between
St. John's and the drilling unit, fully certified and maintained to Transport Canada standards
- associated services including parking, check-in, suit-up facilities,
passenger-handling, baggage-handling, cargo-handling, flight dispatch, and personnel onboard (POB) services
- flight suit services
- helifuel, helitanks, and helitank inspection services
- manifesting, equipment control, and material control
- sufficient pilots and ground crew to support estimated 150 to 180
hours flying time per month
Interested parties must have formal health, environmental, safety, and quality (HESQ) management systems which meet all requirements of EnCana and Canada-Newfoundland Offshore Petroleum Board (CNOPB). EnCana will select qualified bidders from among the
respondents to this EOI. Respondents may be required to respond to a capability survey and/or to accommodate HESQ
audits.

and key personnel, company profile, location and description of proposed
