EnCana Corporation is proposing to develop its Deep Panuke gas prospect located offshore Nova Scotia, approximately 44 km to the West of Sable Island. The proposed development plan comprises three new platforms - a production platform (DPP), a utilities
and quarters platform (UQP) and a wellhead platform (WHP) - with two interconnecting bridges linking them to each other. Up to 6 wells will provide production from the Deep Panuke development. Gas will be delivered to shore via one new export pipeline,
of 24" NPS after processing offshore. The onshore landfall site for the export line will be in the Goldboro region.
EnCana Corporation has appointed Accent-Saipem Energy Joint Venture to provide the Engineering Design study for this project.
During this phase we are seeking qualified companies for the supply of jacket piles (S02-00) and welded tubulars and cones (S04-00) from Type 1 and Type 2 primary structural steel with the following characteristics:

Inspection of production welds: EEMUA 158 Guidelines, or recognised equivalent;
Weld metal CTOD requirements for t > 40mm as for steel data;
AWS D1.1, or recognised equivalent;
Monitoring / NDE as per EEMUA 158, or recognised equivalent.
Respondents will be required to provide evidence that welding procedures satisfy the above noted qualification requirements.
Suppliers may respond to this EOI assuming either or both of the following options:
- Supplier will source and supply steel Types 1 and 2
- EnCana will free issue steel Types 1 and 2
Suppliers who source and procure the steel will also be required to provide supporting evidence that the purchased primary steel satisfies the properties and prequalification weldability / fabricability requirements summarised above.

Bidders do not necessarily have to express interest in the complete package. The package may be split.
Interested parties are required to have an implemented Quality Management System that meets the requirement of the ISO-9000 series of Standards and Safety Management System(s). Respondents must indicate company name, contact details, managers and key
personnel, company profile, and summary of related experience as requested in the Supplier Prequalification Questionnaire. The Deep Panuke Project will select qualified bidders from among the respondents to this EOI. Expressions of Interest must be
received on or before June 19, 2002.
