| Expression of Interest Seismic Support Vessel Reference: SSV 1001/01 BIDS Category: 9305 Closing Date: February 23, 2001 Use this reference number on all correspondence: SSV 1001/01 Issue Date: January 26, 2001 December 1, 2000, marked the beginning of a new joint venture that combines the technology and expertise of two seismic leaders. Geco-Prakla, a division of Schlumberger; and Western Geophysical, a division of Baker Hughes have joined forces to create WesternGeco Canada Limited. The Western Geco Canadian Marine Operations will function from offices in both Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Halifax, Nova Scotia. With work anticipated in the Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Saint-Pierre et Miquelon offshore areas, we are requesting expressions of interest from companies capable of supplying the services described below. All potential suppliers to Western Geco will be required to comply with all rules and regulations as put forth and governed by the Canada-Newfoundland Offshore Petroleum Board, the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board and the governing bodies of Saint Pierre et Miquelon with respect to employment and industrial benefits reporting. SCOPE Support towed streamer seismic vessels operating in the jurisdictions covered by the C-NOPB, C-NSOPB and Saint-Pierre et Miquelon.
