Scope
Marathon Canada Limited seeks qualified companies for the provision of seismic acquisition and processing offshore Nova Scotia over Exploration Licenses 2410 and 2411. The project will consist of approximately 2,500 square kilometers of acquisition and
processing of three dimensional marine seismic survey and navigation data. The project, which is subject to final Marathon and regulatory approvals, is estimated to commence in April of 2002. The seismic acquisition shall be completed in 2002.
This scope also applies to other exploration activities that may be conducted by Marathon as the Operator on new lands resulting from a Call for Bids or the acquisition of lands from other Operators. Further, Marathon's contract will contain a right of
assignment clause in order to facilitate shared services with other Operators. Marathon will endeavor to optimize efficiencies and operations, and subject to appropriate commercial arrangements, it may be the intent to share these services with other
Operators active in the offshore.
Interested parties must have health, safety, and environmental management and quality management systems that meet all requirements of Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (CNSOPB). Respondents must indicate company name, contact details, managers
and key personnel, company profile, and summary of related experience. Marathon Canada Limited will select qualified bidders from among the respondents to this EOI.
