Marathon Canada Limited seeks qualified companies for the provision of Liner Hanger Equipment (LHE) and Services for its upcoming deepwater drilling project offshore Nova Scotia. The project, which is subject to final approval, will consist of a single
exploration well, with potential sidetracking opportunities once the well logs are evaluated. The project is estimated to commence between July 2001 and July 2002. The services shall include the provision of all equipment and personnel needed to supervise
the installation liner hanger equipment. Interested parties should have shop facilities in the Metro-Halifax area. Adequate service personnel shall also be available to ensure safe, trouble -free equipment preparation and running operation.
Liner hangers that may be run include:
1. 302 mm (11 7/8") inside 346 mm (13 5/8")
2. 194 mm (7 5/8") inside 245 mm (9 5/8")
3. 140 mm (5.5) inside 194.7 mm (7 5/8")
Supply of LHE will include the liner hanger assembly, some, but possibly not all, float equipment, and wellsite supervision. Any required 3rd party services within the supply chain from arrival of the LHE in Nova Scotia to running the LHE in the well will
be tendered by the successful Tenderer under Marathon's CNSOPB approved
Benefits Plan.
Note: The liner hanger assemblies and related float equipment will be required to meet Marathon's qualification standards for high pressure, high temperature and corrosive gas environments).
As a minimum, companies making an expression of interest will be required to provide information on the following:
1. Summary of LHE and float equipment manufactures whom you represent.
2. Location of your organization and general corporate information.
3. The ability to provide liner top packers.
4. Hydraulic and mechanical set liner hangers.
Interested parties must have health, safety, and environmental management and quality management systems that meet all requirements of CNSOPB. Respondents must indicate company name, contact details, managers and key personnel, company profile, and
summary of related experience. Marathon will select qualified bidders from among the respondents to this EOI.
