Marathon Canada Limited seeks qualified companies for the provision of Mud Logging Services for its upcoming deepwater drilling project offshore Nova Scotia. The project, which is subject to final approval, will consist of a single exploration well, with
potential sidetracking opportunities once the well logs are evaluated. The project is estimated to commence between July 2001 and July 2002. The services shall include the provision of self-contained mud logging unit complete with racked computerized
mud logging equipment and personnel as required to operate the unit and catch samples. Mud logging unit must have capability of WITS data link and Real Time data transmission (continuous to town). Interested parties should have shop facilities in the
Metro-Halifax area. The mud-logging unit shall be specifically designed for offshore work in the North Atlantic and as a minimum, meet the requirements of CNSOPB.

summary of related experience. Marathon will select qualified bidders from among the respondents to this EOI.
