Marathon Canada Limited seeks qualified companies for the provision of Open Hole and Cased Hole Logging, along with other wireline services, for its upcoming deepwater drilling project offshore Nova Scotia. The project, which is subject to final
approval, will consist of a single exploration well, with potential sidetracking opportunities once the well logs are evaluated. The project is estimated to commence between July 2001 and July 2002. In addition to personnel, the service will include the
provision for logging tools that must include gamma ray, density, neutron, resistivity, dipole sonic, sidewall coring tools (rotary and percussion types), check shot and/or VSP tools and formation testers (samples and pressures). In addition, provider
will be required to supply pipe recovery tools. Interested parties will be required to have shop facilities in the Metro-Halifax area.
Interested parties must have health, safety, and environmental management and quality management systems which meet all requirements of Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (CNSOPB). Respondents must indicate company name, contact details, managers
and key personnel, company profile, and summary of related experience. Marathon Canada Limited will select qualified bidders from among the respondents to this EOI.
