Marathon Canada Limited seeks qualified companies for the provision of Storm Packers for its upcoming deepwater drilling project offshore Nova Scotia. The project, which is subject to final approval, will consist of a single exploration well, with
potential sidetracking opportunities once the well logs are evaluated. The project is estimated to commence between July 2001 and July 2002. Storm packers required will be for casing sizes 346 mm (13 5/8") to 194 mm (7 5/8") and will be rated for sour
service and be designed to withstand 69 Mpa differential (10,000 psi). Interested parties will be required to have shop facilities in the Metro-Halifax area.
Interested parties must have health, safety, and environmental management and quality management systems that meet all requirements of CNSOPB. Respondents must indicate company name, contact details, managers and key personnel, company profile, and
summary of related experience. Marathon will select qualified bidders from among the respondents to this EOI.
