Marathon Canada Limited seeks qualified companies for the provision of Subsea Services to support its upcoming deepwater drilling project offshore Nova Scotia. The project, which is subject to final approval, will consist of a single exploration well,
with potential sidetracking opportunities once the well logs are evaluated. The project is estimated to commence between July 2001 and July 2002. Personnel are to be fully trained and experienced in offshore ROV operations.
Minimum equipment specifications are detailed below:
One remote operated vehicle (ROV) capable and certified for working in water depths of at least 2286 m (7500'), hydro-acoustic positioning system and support equipment with color imaging sonar, telemetry, manipulator, water blaster, glycol injection
capability, depth and heading sensors, camera and video recording and multi point display capability. ROV is to equipped and capable of BOP intervention. Surface equipment to include a control station/workshop, pilot and navigator consoles, power
distribution and deck cables, umbilical and winch and a vehicle launch and recovery system including cursor system, if necessary. Such equipment to be powered by an independent source.
Interested parties must have health, safety, and environmental management and quality management systems which meet all requirements of Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (CNSOPB). Respondents must indicate company name, contact details, managers
and key personnel, company profile, and summary of related experience. Marathon Canada Limited will select qualified bidders from among the respondents to this EOI.
