Scope
Marathon Canada Limited (Marathon) seeks qualified companies for re-processing of 3D seismic data relative to offshore Nova Scotia Exploration License 2377. The re-processing project will cover approximately 1,000 to 2,000 square kilometers of Veritas
speculative 3D seismic data. The project, which is subject to final Marathon and partner approval, is expected to commence in October of 2002.
Interested parties must have health, safety, and environmental management and quality management systems that meet all requirements of Marathon and Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (CNSOPB). To the extent applicable, if non-resident in Canada,
interested parties must become familiar with employment authorizations for foreign workers, Goods and Services Tax (GST) / Harmonized Sales Tax (HST), and non-resident withholding.
Responses must not include brochures, financial reports, safety handbooks, or similar documentation. Responses must be limited to one to three pages and be provided via
e-mail or facsimile. Respondents must indicate company name, e-mail address, and other contact details, provide a brief company profile, and provide a summary listing of managers, key personnel, and related experience. In addition, respondents must
provide information demonstrating their ability to perform the following:
- High resolution radon demultiple
- Full-volume Kirchoff prestack time migration
- Wave equation demultiple (possible reprocessing option)
- Full-volume Kirchoff prestack depth migration (possible reprocessing option)
- Fast turnaround time to support drilling in 2003
This scope also applies to Marathon's other exploration lands.
Marathon will select qualified bidders from among the respondents to this EOI. The successful bidder to any tender package that may be issued pursuant to this EOI will be required to provide benefits information in a timely manner in accordance with
industry practice. The contract resulting from such tender will contain a right of assignment clause in order to facilitate shared services with other Operators. Marathon will endeavor to optimize efficiencies and operations, and subject to appropriate
commercial arrangements, it may be the intent to share these services with other Operators active in the offshore.
