ExxonMobil Canada Properties (EMCP) has appointed Irving Shipbuilding Inc. (ISI) as their South Venture Topsides Fabrication Contractor for the SABLE TIER 2 PROJECT.
ISI seeks qualified Companies capable of providing HVAC fabrication and installation services described in the Scope of Work below. Expressions of interest including corporate resumes indicating relevant experience, capability and expertise with similar
projects must be submitted prior to the closing date indicated above. Irving Shipbuilding Inc. reserves the right to make the final determination of which firms qualify to bid.

Pre-qualification/Registration Questionnaire are to be in the following format (provided in a 3-ring binder with separate sections):
Section 1: Introductory Letter
Section 2: Table of Contents
Section 3: Vendor Pre-qualification/Registration Questionnaire
Section 4: Quality - submit completed pre-qualification questionnaire form referenced above.
Section 5: SHE - submit completed pre-qualification questionnaire form referenced above (include WCB Clearance and Letter of Good Standing from WCB and NSCSA or equivalent)
Section 6: Evidence of qualifications and/or experience
Section 7: Corporate Brochures
Section 8: Other relevant information of Vendor's choosing ("Optional")
Scope of Work:
Includes but is not limited to:
- Ductwork - supply and install
- Duct accessories - supply and install
- Refrigerant piping between condensing units and cooling coils - supply and install
- Installation of HVAC equipment (tagged items) free issued to ISI by EMCP
- Duct leaking testing
- Refrigerant piping pressure testing
- Testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB)
- Painting and corrosion protection in accordance with Specification TA-A00-Y-15-0005, Jacket and Topsides Painting and Coating Specification
- Special tools for installation and maintenance
- Commissioning spares
- Witnessing of all tests and inspections
- Preparation for transportation
- Preservation and packing
- All documentation
- Design, engineering, fabrication, assembly, installation, inspection, testing, certification and provision of all services and equipment required to provide a package fit for the intended purpose and meeting the requirements of Specification
EA-E71-H-15-0002, Rev. C01 dated 20/12/2002 HVAC Installation. To include:
- Review of EMCP's design/documents in connection with interfacing equipment, as specified with the HVAC Installation Specification
- Preparation and submission of documentation necessary for engineering, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance and trouble shooting for items within the scope of the specification
- Mechanical guarantees
The Scope of Work does not include the following items:
- Electrical cables
- Control and instrument cables
- Pipe insulation - drain pipe and refrigerant piping
- Drain piping from HVAC equipment
- Supply of tagged HVAC equipment
Schedule for Delivery Bidding is planned for late April 2003 with anticipated contract award early May 2003.
Experience and Qualifications
Potential bidders must:
- demonstrate that they have previously fabricated, installed and tested HVAC components on an offshore platform located in an analogous environment.
- Demonstrate that they can meet the applicable Government Statutory Regulations, Industry Standards and KSLO Standard and Project Specifications as detailed in Section 3.0 of the HVAC Installation Specification and painting and Coating Specification

- maintain a QA system that meets the requirements of ISO 9001, and a material traceability system in compliance with specifications and approved procedures.
