ExxonMobil Canada Properties, a Partnership (EMCP) is requesting expressions of interest from companies capable of supplying Marine Gas Oil & Low Sulphur Diesel Dyed as described below. Companies interested in pre-qualifying to bid on this package should
submit their corporate resumes indicating relevant experience and expertise in this field, along with the attached questionnaires prior to the closing date indicated above. EMCP reserves the right the make the final determination of which firms will
qualify to bid on the project.
ExxonMobil Canada Properties, seeks the services of qualified and experienced vendors interested in supplying Marine Gas Oil & Low Sulphur Diesel Dyed to its Offshore & Drilling Operations. It is anticipated that this service will be contracted for a
period of three to five years.
Scope of Supply:
Overview
ExxonMobil Canada Properties (EMC) has offshore operations working approximately 200 kms off the coast of Nova Scotia. Present operations consist of a central production platform with two satellite platforms and one Heavy Duty Harsh Environment Jack Up
drilling rig. Future operations can include but not be limited to future offshore project and construction work, additional drilling units and logistical support for other ExxonMobil affiliates and/or partners of operated and non-operated joint
ventures.
Single Supplier
A single supplier of marine gas oil and low sulphur diesel fuel is required. This supplier must be able to deliver fuel within Halifax Harbour & have docking facilities capable of handling vessels up to 90 meters in length, with a minimum water depth of
6.5 meters,
Hours of Operation
Supplier must operate on a 24/7 base and be capable of refueling vessels anytime as required by EMCP.
Methods of Delivery
The preferred method of fuel delivery to the vessels will be via pipeline at the supplier's dockside location, however fuel delivery by transport truck or fuel barge (if available) is used from time to time.
Quantity of Fuels Used
The following is an estimated quantity of fuel used on an annual base, however numbers can fluctuate due to changes in offshore operations.
Marine Gas Oil
5 supply vessels X 8m3 per vessel, average consumption per day X 365 days = 14,600 m3/yr
1 drilling rig X 23m3 average consumption per day X 365 days = 8,395 m3/yr
Low Sulphur Diesel Dyed
3 offshore platforms X 5m3 average consumption per day X 365 days = 1,095m3/yr
