General Requirements:
ExxonMobil Canada Properties, a partnership (ExxonMobil) & Imperial Oil Limited (IOL) are seeking qualified Contractors interested in providing Waste Handling Services for their onshore and/ or offshore operations in Nova Scotia. Projects currently
contemplated in the scope of work include, but are not limited to:
· ExxonMobil's offshore seismic, exploration and development programs offshore Nova Scotia, including the Sable Basin Exploration & Appraisal Drilling Program.
· Sable Offshore Energy Project
· Imperial Oil Resources Ventures Limited Deepwater Exploration & Appraisal Drilling Program
Work locations may include offshore platforms, offshore drilling rigs, onshore operations, and vessels. While activities on the offshore platforms and rigs are usually limited to existing vendors or subcontractors there will be occasions where the
successful bidder will be required to directly perform work at these sites. Potential contractors will be required to support these requirements from an operational office at ExxonMobil's shore base in Dartmouth.
Technical Requirements:
The contractor must be qualified to conduct the work outlined in the Scope of Work. All work conducted must be in compliance with ExxonMobil's Safe Work Practices and Procedures and any other applicable Legislative requirements (either provincial or
federal).
Scope of Work
The removal and disposal of all wastes resulting from operations at ExxonMobil's offshore platforms, drilling units and onshore operations which are offloaded at ExxonMobil's locations (including but not limited to): the shorebase facility in Dartmouth,
the gas plant in Goldboro, the fractionation plant in Pt Tupper and CHC Helicopter International's Depot at the Halifax International Airport.
The wastes will consist primarily of waste oil, liquid wastes, process wastes, offshore oilfield drilling wastes (both solids and liquids), production testing wastes and domestic garbage. The work will involve waste containment, removal from, disposal and
tank cleaning of waste oils and residual bulk drilling products from support vessel bulk tanks, transportation, disposal, and waste manifest document management. The contractor will have proven experience and expertise to safely handle all hazardous and
non-hazardous wastes. While the successful contractor will be required to support all ongoing operations there will be occasions when work will commence on short notice call outs and/or may be required for extended work periods.
In addition to the completion of the Pre-qualification Questionnaire attached, ExxonMobil requires general information on the basic waste management plan offered by the bidder including a description of the processes, equipment, facilities and skills
available. Companies submitting an Expression of Interest should also provide the following:
· A list of possible subcontractors
· Proposed treatment and/or recycling facilities (including landfills)
· Description of manifesting, document control and waste tracking system (including all applicable permitting)
