General Requirements:
ExxonMobil Canada Properties, a partnership (ExxonMobil) and affiliate Imperial Oil Limited (Imperial) are seeking qualified contractors interested in providing equipment for mud logging services for their offshore operations in Eastern Canada. Projects
that are currently contemplated in the scope of work include, but are not limited to the following:
· ExxonMobil's offshore seismic, exploration, production and development programs offshore Nova Scotia, including the Sable Basin Exploration & Appraisal Drilling Program.
· Imperial Oil Resources Ventures Limited Deepwater Exploration & Appraisal Drilling Program
Work location will include onshore operations, offshore drilling rigs and vessels. Potential contractors may be required to support these requirements from an operational office and maintenance facilities in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Technical Requirements:
The contractor must be qualified to conduct the work outlined in the Scope of Work. All work conducted must be in compliance with ExxonMobil safe work practices and procedures.
Scope of Work
Contractor may be required provide solids removal equipment, augers, cuttings boxes, a cuttings dryer, shaker screens and associated services for support of drilling operations in connection with ExxonMobil Canada and Imperial Oil Resources Canada
Drilling Operations in Eastern Canada. The equipment and services are required for drilling operations that will be principally conducted offshore, near Sable Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. A harsh environment jack-up rig or semi-submersible will be used to
drill, complete and test HPHT wells. The Drilling Unit will be contracted to drill two wells commencing approximately June 1, 2004 with two one well options. This contract is expected to span approximately eighteen months with an option to extend the
contract one year (assuming the contracted rig remains the same). The termination of the contract will likely coincide with release of the drilling unit. Depending on drilling results and economic conditions it could reasonably be expected to have periods
of time with no drilling activity, or as many as two rigs performing drilling operations.
If a second rig is required, ExxonMobil reserves the right to use another company assuming the successful bidder does not have the solids removal equipment rigged up on the rig when it is contracted.
There are no guaranteed minimum number of wells or length of contract.
