General Requirements:
ExxonMobil Canada is seeking qualified contractors and fabricators interested in providing heat exchangers for their onshore operations in Goldboro, Nova Scotia and Point Tupper, Nova Scotia. The contemplated scope of work includes, but is not limited
to:
- Fabrication and supply of (2) shell and tube reboilers.
- Fabrication and supply of (1) replacement tube bundle
Technical Requirements:
The heat exchangers may be either vertical thermosyphon or horizontal kettle design. They will be in light hydrocarbon service (NGL’s, sweet gas) and rated for approximately 6500 kW. The replacement tube bundle will also be for light hydrocarbon service
(sweet NGL) and be rated for about 2000 kW.
Contractors must be qualified to supply the complete range services described in the Scope of Work. Contractor shall be able to demonstrate previous experience of similar contracts with ExxonMobil, Sable, or other companies. Contractor must provide
details of QA/QC systems in place to control, monitor, and manage scope as described.
Scope of Work
Fabrication of shell and tube heat exchangers - This work may include fabrication and supply, shipping/delivery to site, on-site installation support:
1) Goldboro – 2 shell and tube reboilers
2) Point Tupper – 1 replacement tube bundle
Bidding is planned for December 2003 with delivery required by June 2004.
Submission Requirements
Vendor submissions must include the following information:
§ List previous experience of similar projects with dates and thermosyphon reboiler details.
§ Typical Quality Plan or Inspection and Test Plan for reboiler and tube bundle fabrication.
§ Completed Pre-Qualification Questionnaire- Materials
