General Requirements: ExxonMobil Canada Properties, a partnership (EMCP) is currently evaluating the feasibility of installing compression on the North Triumph (NT) Offshore platform. The following services may be required. Project is in preliminary
engineering phase. EMCP is seeking qualified vendors interested in providing an Accommodations Vessel service to ExxonMobil for activities in offshore Nova Scotia. Work location is the North Triumph platform, part of the Sable natural gas project
currently in production.
Based on strategies currently being assessed, this project may or may not be pursued.
ExxonMobil reserves the right to make the final determination of which firms qualify to bid.
Scope of Work:
Accommodations:
- Provide accommodations and living quarters for approx. 60 men (excluding crew) to work on the potential NT compression project. NT platform is unmanned.
- Construction plans are 2 shifts, 30 men / shift back to back, approx. 10,000 man-hours of offshore work
- Vessel is to be positioned alongside platform and men are to transfer to/from vessel as required (bridge or gangway)
- Location of NT platform is approx. 200 km south of Halifax, NS Canada (close to Sable Island)
- Approx. co-ordinates 44N 59W
- Max. wave height = 22.6 m (air gap = 4.68 m)
- Wave period = 13.6 sec
- Water depth = 74.0 m
- Approx. timing for accommodations is July- Oct. 2003
- Vessel must be able to operate in the North Atlantic and is subject to inspections and regulations governing the Canada - Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Resources Accord Implementation Act and other applicable Canadian Marine laws and Regulations.
