ExxonMobil Canada Properties (EMCP) has appointed Kvaerner SNC-Lavalin Offshore (KSLO) as their EPCM Contractor for the SABLE TIER 2 PROJECT.
Companies interested in pre-qualifying to bid on project work should submit corporate resumes indicating relevant experience, capability and expertise with similar projects prior to the closing date indicated above. KSLO reserves the right to make the
final determination of which firms qualify to bid.
KSLO now seeks qualified contractors interested in providing the following:
Scope of Supply:
A Sub Surface Isolation Valve (SSIV) complete with Control Umbilical, Topsides Termination Unit and SSIV Hydraulic Power Unit.
Bidders are requested to bid for the complete SSIV Package, however as a minimum, suppliers can express interest for the following:
- SSIV and Umbilical
- Topsides Umbilical Termination Unit (TUTU)
- SSIV Hydraulic Power Unit
The SSIV is expected to be a 12 inch subsea, actuated, piggable valve complete with protection frame and cathodic protection. A new J-Tube will be provided in the existing Jacket allowing the Umbilical to be pulled into the existing facility. Bidders are
requested to provide dimensional requirements of J-Tube size to allow the installation into the existing facilities. The TUTU will be located near the top of the J-Tube. A dedicated SSIV Hydraulic Power Unit is to be supplied. Bidders will be required to
perform a hydraulic analysis for the system supplied.
Installation, Mechanical Completion and Commissioning of the SSIV, Umbilical, Topsides Termination Unit and Hydraulic Power Unit will be by others and is not included in this expression of interest, however support from Companies may be required in the
period.
The SSIV will be located in 30 metres of water around 100m away from the exiting offshore platform facility. It is envisaged that the Umbilical will be protected by mattresses between the base of the Jacket and the SSIV location. The mattresses will be
supplied and installed by the Pipeline Installation Contractor.
Option to Increase Scope of Supply
Contractor / Vendor shall take into consideration the additional Sable Tier II platform requirements when preparing the submission for the Alma Development Project and the Owner's intent for the option to extend the current scope to future platforms where
