ExxonMobil Canada Properties (EMCP) has appointed Irving Shipbuilding Inc. (ISI) as their South Venture Topsides Fabrication Contractor for the SABLE TIER 2 PROJECT.
ISI seeks qualified Companies capable of providing cutting, rolling and fabrication services described in the Scope of Work below. Expressions of interest including corporate resumes indicating relevant experience, capability and expertise with similar
projects must be submitted prior to the closing date indicated above. Irving Shipbuilding Inc. reserves the right to make the final determination of which firms qualify to bid.
Interested companies shall note that the Owner may not have received project sanction at the time of Request for Proposal, however, it is the Owner's intention that project sanction and subsequent funding will be obtained for the scope of work outlined in
the below within the proposal validity period to be requested in the forthcoming RFP.
Scope of Work:
Includes but is not limited to:
· Offloading, handling and storage of all free-issue steel and fabricated sections in accordance with required procedure and specifications
· Shop cutting, rolling and fabrication of Cans and Cones in accordance with Jacket and Topsides Structural Fabrication Specification
· Welding circumferentially as well as longitudinally in accordance with required procedures and specifications.
Scope does not include purchasing of steel, transportation of steel to fabrication facility, priming and painting, or transportation of fabricated Cans and Cones to the construction site or paint shop.
Schedule for Delivery
Bidding is planned for February 2003 with delivery required to commence from mid-March 2003.
Experience and Qualifications
Potential bidders must:
· demonstrate that they have previously supplied similar units for installation on an offshore platform located in an analogous environment.
· be able to cut, roll and fabricate plate up to and including 60mm thickness
· possess Welding Certification to Division 1 of CSA W47.1 and in accordance with specifications
· comply with CSA W59 and its Offshore Supplement as well as additional requirements within the specifications
· maintain a QA system that meets the requirements of ISO 9001, and a material traceability system in compliance with specifications and approved procedures.
