Heerema Marine Contractors has been awarded the contract by ExxonMobil Canada for the transportation and installation of the Alma platform, offshore Nova Scotia.
The Alma platform is part of the Sable Tier II Project and comprises of a 2,000 t jacket and a 1,500 t deck and a flare boom. The platform foundation consists of eight 84 inch diameter piles which are grouted in jacket sleeves.
This installation will be performed by our Semi Submersible Crane Vessel Hermod in April 2003. The duration of the work is approximately 7 days.
We are seeking qualified companies for the provision of an anchor handling tug to support the SSCV Hermod activities in the field.
The minimum requirements for the anchor handling tug are: 1. 12,000 bhp 2. 150 MT bollard pull 3. twin screw with bow thruster 4. open stern with heavy duty roller, hydraulic pins and hydraulic 76 mm diameter wire clam 5. double drum winch for min 1000 m
76 mm diameter wire with a minimum pull capacity of 200 MT (stall)

Interested parties are required to have an implemented Quality Management System that meets the requirements of the ISO-9000 series of Standards and a Safety Management System and should fully comply with the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board
Regulations. Potential bidders must demonstrate that they have previously provided equipment/materials/services for a similar offshore platform located in an analogous environment. All offshore personnel should be in possession of a valid Offshore
Survival Training Certificate.
Expressions of Interest must be received on or before the closing date mentioned above. Bidders will be selected using the responses to this EOI as a guide but Heerema Marine Contractors reserves the right to make the final selection of companies who
qualify to bid.
