Heerema Marine Contractors has been awarded the contract by ExxonMobil Canada for the transportation and installation of the South Venture platform, offshore Nova Scotia.
The South Venture platform is part of the Sable Tier II Project and comprises of a 1,500 mt jacket and a 2,400 mt deck and a 120 mt vent boom.
This installation will be performed by our Semi Submersible Crane Vessel Hermod in May 2004.
To perform the transportation of the South Venture deck and vent boom from Halifax to the field, we require a suitable transportation barge for a period of approximately 30 days.
The minimum requirements for the transportation barge are:
- Minimum sizes; 300 x 90 ft
- deck strength: 10 tonnes per square meter
- fully classified and certified for ocean-going towage
- in compliance with ExxonMobil Transportation Specifications
- in compliance with London Offshore Consultants - the Marine Warranty Surveyor - requirements
- available in the period April - May 2004
A Pre-qualification Questionnaire must be submitted with your Expression of Interest.
The Prequalification Questionnaire can be obtained from BIDS Nova Scotia at the address given bellow.
Interested parties are required to have an implemented Quality Management System that meets the requirements of the ISO-9000 series of Standards and a Safety Management System and should fully comply with the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board
Regulations. Potential bidders must demonstrate that they have previously provided equipment/materials/services for a similar offshore platform located in an analogous environment.
Expressions of Interest must be received on or before the closing date mentioned above. Bidders will be selected using the responses to this EOI as a guide but Heerema Marine Contractors reserves the right to make the final selection of companies who
qualify to bid.
