ExxonMobil Canada Properties has appointed Saipem SpA as the Pipeline Installation Contractor for the Sable Tier 2 Project.
Companies interested in pre-qualifying to bid on project work should submit corporate resumes indicating relevant experience, capability and expertise with similar projects prior to the closing date indicated above. Saipem SpA reserves the right to make
the final determination of which firms qualify to bid.
Saipem SpA now seeks qualified contractors interested in providing the following:
Scope of Supply:
Gas produced at the Alma field will be transported to the Thebaud processing platform through a 12 inch diameter infield flowline. During offshore infield flowline installations, a 3 inch MEG (mono-ethylene glycol) line will be simultaneously installed
and strapped to provide separation and protection between the infield and MEG pipelines. The blocks will be spaced at two per length of pipe, with two straps per block.
The company that is awarded this work will also have to provide transportation and offloading of this material to the Project supply base in Halifax.
Description:
The work will include the supply and delivery of the following materials:
- 3" MEG pipeline piggyback blocks for the 12" infield flowline. Total of approximately 9800 blocks. These moulded blocks are to be constructed of plastic, polyethylene or bitumus rubber, or other approved material. Blocks should be designed for 25 year
design life.
- Suitable strapping for the above number clamps to be suitable for design life of 25 years.
- Strapping installation tools to be provided and maintained for the duration of the operation
- Delivery to Halifax, Canada.
Detailed design and physical requirements will be provided with the bid packages.
Schedule for Delivery
Bidding is planned for the 1st quarter 2002 with delivery required in the 2nd quarter 2002.
Experience
Potential bidders must demonstrate previous experience in providing this scope of work for an offshore installation located in an analogous environment.
