ExxonMobil Canada Properties (EMCP) has appointed Kvaerner SNC-Lavalin Offshore (KSLO) as their EPCM Contractor for the Sable Tier II Project.
Companies interested in pre-qualifying to bid on project work should submit corporate resumes indicating relevant experience, capability and expertise with similar projects prior to the closing date indicated above. KSLO reserves the right to make the
final determination of which firms qualify to bid.
Contractor / Vendor shall note that the Owner may not have received project sanction at the time of Request for Proposal, however, it is the Owner's intention that project sanction and subsequent funding will be obtained for the scope of work outlined in
the Job Specification within the proposal validity period requested therein.
KSLO now seeks qualified contractors interested in providing the following:
Scope of Supply: Transportation and Installation of Jacket and Topsides Installation

Description: The South Venture wellhead platform is a jacket and topsides steel construction:
- Contractor shall install 1400-1800 tonne 4-6 legged jacket. Jacket will be transported and installed vertically and subsequently piled and grouted.
- Contractor shall install a 2000- 3000 tonne Topsides over a preinstalled jacket using a HLV suitable for offshore conditions. Contractor will supply all rigging and rigging design required to perform the work.
- Depending on place of origin proponent is to transport jacket and topsides inclusive of barge and tug(s) or self propelled vessel to South Venture location. Sea transportation will include design of all grillage and seafastening as well as proving
integrity of tow.
- Platform consists of 3 deck levels, a single crane, a vent boom and an elevated Helideck.
- Production Deck is at an elevation of +22.700m and is approximately 32m x 20m. The vent boom is angled at 45 degrees and is approximately 60m long.
- Weather Deck is at an elevation of 37.700m and is approximately 32 x 20m. A Helideck of approximately 23 x 23 m is situated 4.0m above this level and is cantilevered over the side of this deck.
- Jacket will be approximately 45m high and 20m x30m at the base.
Option to Increase Scope of Supply: Potential Bidders are advised that the Sable Tier 2 Development Plan includes additional platforms. Owner may consider an option to extend the South Venture work scope to include additional Tier 2 platform requirements,
as applicable. Bidders shall take this into consideration when preparing expressions of interest and in preparation for submission of proposals.
Schedule for Delivery: It is anticipated the installation will commence within the window of 2004.
Experience: Potential bidders must demonstrate that they have previously provided equipment/materials/services for a similar offshore platforms located in an analogous environment.
