ExxonMobil Canada Properties (EMCP) has appointed Irving Shipbuilding Inc. (ISI) as their South Venture Topsides Fabrication Contractor for the SABLE TIER 2 PROJECT.
ISI seeks qualified Companies capable of providing scaffolding equipment
and services described in the Scope of Work below. Expressions of interest including corporate resumes indicating relevant experience, capability and expertise with similar projects must be submitted prior to the closing date indicated above. Irving
Shipbuilding Inc. reserves the right to make the final determination of which firms qualify to bid.
Interested companies shall note that the Owner may not have received
project sanction at the time of Request for Proposal, however, it is the
Owner's intention that project sanction and subsequent funding will be
obtained for the scope of work outlined in the below within the proposal
validity period to be requested in the forthcoming RFP.
Scope of Work:
Includes but is not limited to:
a.. Supply and installation of scaffolding at the South Venture Topsides
Fabrication Work Site throughout the construction activities, under the
direction of Construction Manager
b.. Provide all labour, supervision, tools, equipment, materials and
services required to complete all Work identified above.
Schedule for Delivery
Bidding is planned for early March 2003 with services and equipment
required onsite from mid-March 2003.
Experience and Qualifications
Potential bidders must:
-provide examples of support provided to onshore construction of offshore
platforms
-demonstrate that they have the appropriately experienced
supervisory/technical/ quality/inspection personnel to effectively carry
out the work.
-its personnel are familiar with relevant industry codes and are provided
training certification pertaining to scaffold erection and certification
(including at a minimum the latest versions of OHSA regulations, CSA Z259, CSA S 269.2-M87 and CSA CAN 3-Z11-M81)
-demonstrate the existence of a formal safety system with a proven track
record of safe operations
-have shop facilities in the Halifax Regional Municipality
-maintain a Quality Management System that meets the requirements of ISO
9002 (applicable to both equipment and services).
