Sable Offshore Energy Inc. (SOEI) is requesting Expressions of Interest from companies capable of supplying the materials, equipment or services described below. Companies interested in pre-qualifying to bid on this package should submit their corporate
resumes indicating relevant experience and expertise with similar work prior to the closing date indicated above. SOEI reserves the right the make the final determination of which firms will qualify to bid on the project.

Sable Offshore Energy Inc. seeks the services of qualified and experienced contractors interested in providing Offshore Geotechnical Site Surveying. SOEI plans to perform a Geotechnical Site Survey on Sable Island Bank in water depths potentially ranging
from 20 to 80 meters. It is anticipated the work will be done during the 2nd quarter of 2001. Work will consist minimally of two deep borings at one wellhead platform and approximately 10 shallow borings along a 50 km route, but other optional platform
sites may also be included.
The Geotechnical program shall include borings from a proven stable work platform (i.e. geotechnical drillship, vessel of opportunity or jackup with a stablized drillstring). Borings will be performed to acquire high quality soil samples as well as
downhole piezocone penetrometer tests (PCPT's). The Contractor shall provide all vessels, equipment, materials,supplies and personnel necessary to perform the work.
Geotechnical data requirements are:
- Downhole soil sampling: piston or push sampling up to 75m below mudline
- Downhole PCPT's up to 75m below mudline utilizing both standard cones (10sq cm and 10 tonnes thrust) as well as high capacity cones (similar
thrust but with tip area 5 sq cm)
- Labratory testing, both onshore and offshore, to characterize the site for the installation of piled structures
