The Sable Offshore Energy Project (SOEP) through its Alliance Partner
Allseas Canada Limited (ACAN) has awarded the Shore Approach and Landfall
Contract to the joint venture of HAM Dredging/Harbour Developments Ltd. (H&H
JV). H&H JV is seeking expression of interest from companies capable of
carrying out the work associated with the construction, installation and
testing of rock anchors as described below. Companies interested in
pre-qualifying to bid on this work package must submit their corporate
resumes, indicating relevant experience and expertise with similar services,
and QA and HS&E management system description prior to the closing date
indicated above.
SOEP and H&H JV reserves the right to make the final selection of firms that
will qualify to bid on the work package.
General
During the construction of the shore approach and landfall there will be a
requirement for the installation and testing of rock anchors. These rock
anchors will be used to support a linear winch, which will be used to
pull-in approximately 1.4km of 26" concrete coated line pipe. This concrete
coated line pipe will be welded offshore on the lay barge, and pulled to the
landfall with the linear winch.
Scope of Work
The scope of work consists of the construction(as per design drawings
available), installation and testing of rock anchors and steel frames for
the linear pull-in winch at the landfall site in Goldboro, Nova Scotia. QA,
HSE and Job Procedures, including testing of rock anchors, must be prepared
and approved by the client prior to installation. Testing of anchors to
required pull force will be under the supervision of Lloyd's Register.
Schedule
Construction is to commence by January 15, 1999 and anchors must be
installed and tested between February 1 and 14th. Including backfill the
total scope of work must be completed and a test certificate issued before
February 21st, 1999.
