Sable Offshore Energy Incorporated (SOEI) seeks qualified companies interested in providing one (1) skid-mounted liquid / liquid filter coalescing unit complete with solids prefilters and associated instrumentation. Unit shall incorporate two solids
pre-filters, each capable of handling design flow, and two filter coalescers each capable of handling design flow (i.e., 100% redundancy). The package shall be capable of removing entrained and emulsified liquid hydrocarbon (discontinuous phase, SG=0.
615) from a Rich MEG (aqueous solution of Mono Ethylene Glycol, continuous phase, SG=1.095).
The scope of work includes the design, fabrication, and supply of the unit including: solids pre-filter vessels and media, liquid/liquid filter coalescing separator vessels and media, structural skid, package instrumentation, interconnecting piping and
valves, supports, internal and external coatings, ladders, and platforms as required. The unit shall be suitable for offshore marine installation on the Thebaud platform.
Mechanical Design pressure/temperature: 13813 kPa / -46(MDMT) to 65 oC
SOEI requires respondents to be able to demonstrate a proven track record in this particular type of application. In particular, respondents will supply information on similar applications where
they have supplied solids filter and filter coalescer equipment. These applications, in order of importance, will demonstrate:
1. Separation of hydrocarbons (discontinuous phase) from Mono Ethylene Glycol - water solutions (continuous phase).
2. Other experience in cold climate applications with Mono Ethylene Glycol (i.e., North Sea, Northern Europe).
3. Separation of hydrocarbons from aqueous solutions where one or both phases has low (less than10 dynes/cm.) measured interfacial tension (IFT).
4. Solids filtration and liquid/liquid separation in the presence of paraffins.
5. Separation of hydrocarbons (discontinuous phase) from other aqueous solutions (continuous phase).
