The Sable Offshore Energy Project (SOEP) through its Alliance Partner
Allseas Canada Limited (ACAN) has awarded the Shore Approach and
Landfall Contract to the joint venture of HAM Dredging/Harbour
Developments Ltd. (HH). HH is seeking expression of interest from
companies capable of carrying out the work associated with the removal
of bedrock above grade along the centreline of the pipe trench from the
onshore tie-in point to the low water mark as described in more detail
below under scope of work. Companies interested in pre-qualifying to bid
on this work package must submit their corporate resumes, indicating
relevant experience and expertise with similar services, and QA and HS&E
management system description prior to the closing date indicated above.
SOEP and HH reserves the right to make the final selection of firms that
will qualify to bid on the work package.
General
During the construction of the shore approach and landfall pipe trench
above the low water mark to the onshore tie-in point for the 26-inch
gathering line, running from the offshore platform near Sable Island to
Country Harbour (Nova Scotia, Canada), bedrock will be encountered which
will require drilling and blasting in order to obtain grade.
Scope of Work
The scope of work will consist of drilling and blasting bedrock in order
to obtain grade along the required trench parameters as outlined on the
construction drawings from the low water mark to the onshore tie-in
point.
The excavation of the over burden will be done by others prior to the
commencement of work.
Schedule
The preparatory work has to be completed before the pipeline pull-in
presently scheduled for March 8 1999.
