The Sable Offshore Energy Project (SOEP) through its Alliance Partner
Allseas Canada Limited (ACAN) has awarded the Shore Approach and
Landfall Contract to the joint venture of HAM Dredging/Harbour
Developments Ltd. (HH). HH is seeking expressions of interest from
companies capable of carrying out the work associated with the
preparation of the onshore site and trench from the onshore tie-in point
to the low water mark as described in more detail below under scope of
work. Companies interested in pre-qualifying to bid on this work
package must submit their corporate resumes, indicating relevant
experience and expertise with similar services, and QA and HS&E
management system description prior to the closing date indicated above.
SOEP and HH reserves the right to make the final selection of firms that
will qualify to bid on the work package.
General
The shore approach and landfall work is required for the 26-inch
gathering line, running from the offshore platform near Sable Island to
Country Harbour (Nova Scotia, Canada), there it will cross the shore
line and terminate 2 km. land inward at a processing plant near
Goldboro, NS
Scope of Work
The scope of work will consist of clearing and grubbing inside the right
of way outlined from the low water mark to the onshore tie-in point on
the construction plan and the excavation of the pipe trench to the
required grade.
Suitable bedding material to be supplied and installed as required.
After the laying of the pipe, backfilling of the trench and
re-instatement of the onshore site will be required.
Schedule
The preparatory work has to be completed before the pipeline pull-in
presently scheduled for March 8 1999. The re-instatement of the work
shall be completed around August 1 1999.
