The Sable Offshore Energy Project (SOEP), through it's Alliance partner
Saipem Canada, is requesting expressions of interest from companies capable
of supplying and operating (where applicable) the equipment described below.
Companies interested in pre-qualifying to bid on this package should submit
their corporate resumes indicating relevant experience and expertise with
similar products to the following address prior to the closing date
indicated above. SOEP reserves the right to make the final determination of
which firms will qualify to bid on the Project.
SCOPE OF SUPPLY:
The scope of work is to monitoring the installation of four 72" dia steel
piles, offshore, located at the North Triumph Jacket location at Sable. The
Contractor shall mobilize equipment and personnel from Halifax, Nova Scotia,
ready for transfer offshore location. The Contractor's personnel shall
prepare equipment ready for deployment from the supplied work vessel (Sea
depth 75 meters). Pile monitoring shall consist, but not limited to the
following detailed elements of work below. When complete, Contractors shall
retrieve all equipment onto the work vessel ready for demobilization.
a) To check during pile driving (in real time)
* the level of driving stress induced in the pile.
* the driving energy transferred into the pile.
b) To provide data for the interpretation of driving records and to
enable the acceptability of the
piling to be confirmed (offshore) near the real time.
Therefore, the following will be required.
* a comparison of observed soil resistance to that predicted.
* an estimation of the static pile capacity of the as-installed pile,
at the time of driving compared to that given by design.
