Geco-Prakla, a division of Schlumberger Canada Limited is
requesting expressions of interest from companies capable
of supplying Seismic Guard vessels as described below.
SCOPE
Guard Vessels required to protect 6000 X 1000 meters of
towed seismic equipment deployed from 3D multi streamer
seismic vessels operating on the East Coast of Canada.
- checking survey area for obstructions, fishing gear,
iceberg bits
- search for and possibly recover/tow lost equipment
- support MOB/Work boats during streamer/tailbuoy maintenance
- fathometer scouting
- temperature / salinity checks
- pro-active communications with fishers and shipping
- personnel transfers
- provisions transfer
- standby during helicopter operations
Period:
June to August 1999
Specifications Required:
- length 80-120 ft
- Canadian flagged vessel
- officers experienced with seismic operations
- officers familiar with fishing activity
- duration 30 days
- GPS navigation
- search light
- comply with governmental and oil company regulatory
inspections.
