Western Geophysical is requesting expressions of interest from companies
capable of supplying Marine Agent Services as described below. Companies
interested in being considered for this work should submit their corporate
resumes indicating expertise, QA and HS&E management system description,
and relevant experience, prior to the closing date indicated above. Western
Geophysical reserves the right to make the final determination of which
firms will qualify for the project.
GENERAL
During the activities associated with an upcoming OBC seismic survey
Western Geophysical will require the use of a marine agent to provide
services, as indicated below, for the vessels that are working on this
project
The company that is awarded this work will be responsible for a range of
activities including the manpower, management, equipment, services and all
associated costs to insure the completion of this scope of work.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The Marine Agents' scope of work will include but not be limited to the
following:
1. Provide attendance and co-ordination for arrival and departure of
vessels with appropriate parties in all ports of call as required.
Appropirate parties will include but not limited to Pilots, Harbor Master,
Coast Guard, shore labour, repair and supply houses and Customs, etc.
2. Must also provide liaison with Customs and Immigration offices. This
will include providing documentation with respect to the clearance of
customs and immigration, including manifests for materials and personnel,
permits and payment of associated fees and charges.
3. As requested by Western provide accommodation reservations for
Western's personnel.
4. At Western's request provide transportation for Western representatives
and staff.
5. Function as a link with local companies and suppliers in obtaining
competitive prices, including tariffs for services and materials required.
6. Obtain and supply competitive prices for ships provisions, including
water and fuel required by vessels, and as requested by Western arrange for
purchase and delivery.
SCHEDULE
The preliminary schedule for the various Marine Agent activities is based
on the following dates:
- Supply of Marine Agent Services: April 1999 - October 1999
