The Sable offshore Energy project (SOEP) is requesting expressions of
interest from companies capable of supplying of Platform Identification
Signs for installation on an offshore facility off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada near Sable Island.
Companies interested in prequalifying to bid on this package should submit their corporate resume indicating relevant experience and expertise with similar products to the following address prior to the closing dates indicated above. SOEP reserves the
right to make the final determination of which firm will qualify to bid on the project.
Description:
The supplier shall provide a total of 16 signs, 4 per each platform to be
installed by others on each side of the platform. The stainless steel,
computer cut sign will include the Logo of the Sable project and name of the platform.
The Supplier shall provide 915 mm x 1200 mm letter panel of grade AISI 316 L, 14 swg stainless steel, dull polished on both sides. The face of the panel shall be finished in retro reflecting yellow, Scotchlite 2291 or approved equal. The letters shall be
finished in retro reflecting black, 1 meter high Helvetica capitals computer cut from the block, Scotchcal 655 or approved equal. The signs will be fixed to the support brackets by bolting. The stainless steel weather flashing/cowlings shall be provided
to sign heads and lower edges.
The Supplier shall co-ordinate engineering and fixing of the signs with the
Owner's engineer. The Owner will provide the framing and support brackets.
The above-listed Specification, which is being developed for these signs,
will reference certain regulations which must followed:

Formal Inquiry for these signs is scheduled for issue in early December
1998, with a delivery of the signs needed in early March 1999.
