Amendment #4
The Province has received the following questions:
Q. 1. Item 6.3.2 indicates"...the Contractor will provide clinical supervision
of Autism
Support Workers." This supervision is to be provided for the term of the
contract. What
arrangements are contemplated for supervision after the contract period?
A. These arrangements will be made near the end of the contract period, and will
be
largely determined by service needs at that time.
Q. 2. Item 6.3.2. further states "It is the responsibility of the Contractor to
assess the
existing capacity for clinical supervision services across the province, and to
build on
this capacity such that there are 30 qualified clinical supervisors
available..." Is the
Contractor responsible for all clinical supervision across the province, or only
the
supervision of those individuals who have been hired and trained by the
Contractor?
A. The Contractor is responsible for clinical supervision of the Autism Support
Workers
who have been trained by the Contractor, as well as other paraprofessionals
(currently
providing intervention services) who are determined by the Province and the
Contractor to
be qualified.
Q. 3. Are individuals who have been identified as having already obtained the
qualifications and are presently practicing as clinical supervisors expected to
complete
the training provided by the Contractor for clinical supervisors?
A. As indicated in an earlier amendment to the RFP, the Province and the
Contractor will
determine the competencies required of clinical supervisors, and the Contractor
will
assess interested professionals (potential clinical supervisors) against these
competencies and determine the required training.
Q. 4. Are there any geographic or linguistic requirements for clinical
supervisors?
A. Seventy-five percent (75%) of the demand for autism-related intervention
services (and
therefore, clinical supervision) is in three service regions of the province:
Moncton and
surrounding area, Fredericton and surrounding area, and Saint John and
surrounding area.
Approximately 15% of the demand for services is in Miramichi and surrounding
area, with
the remaining 10% coming from the Campbellton/Bathurst/Acadian Peninsula. It is
expected
that bilingual services would be required in Moncton, Fredericton and Miramichi,
unilingual (English) services would be required in Saint John, and unilingual
(French)
services would be required in the Campbellton/Bathurst/Acadian Peninsula.
Q. 5. Item 6.3.1 indicates training must be available throughout the province in
both
official languages. Is there a more detailed geographic breakdown, perhaps by
service
region, for the anticipated demand for services?
Amendment #3
The Province has received the following questions:
Q. 1. In Section 6.1 ,the RFP indicated that an Interdepartmental Committee was
formed
and produced a report entitled A Framework for an Integrated Service....Could
you please
indicate how a copy of this report could be obtained.
A. There are several copies of the report available at the 2nd floor
reception desk at
551 King Street, Fredericton (Saint Cinnamon Building)
Q. 2. Is there the assumption that the daily wages and expenses of the
paraprofessionals
or professionals who receive trainingwould be covered by the budget in this RFP?
A. No, the budget identified in the RFP does not include the daily wages and
expenses
of paraprofessionals or professionals participating in the training.
